India’s coal production from captive and commercial mines reached 14.01 million tonnes in April 2025, with dispatches at 16.81 million tonnes. This marks a strong start to the fiscal year, reflecting the sector’s resilience and its crucial role in meeting the nation’s energy demands.
📈 Record-Breaking Export Growth
India’s total exports surged by 6.01% in 2024–25, reaching an unprecedented $824.9 billion. This growth was primarily driven by services exports, which hit a historic high of $387.5 billion, marking a 13.6% increase from the previous year. In March 2025 alone, services exports grew by 18.6% year-on-year, totaling $35.6 billion.
