🥛 Amit Shah Chairs Meet on Dairy Sustainability
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah chaired a meeting emphasizing the importance of sustainability and circularity in the cooperative dairy sector. He highlighted the need to ensure that the benefits of carbon credits reach farmers and stressed strengthening milk unions and cooperative societies to enhance farmers’ income and promote environmental sustainability.
🏢 Launch of Depot Darpan Portal and Digital Platforms – Anna Mitra & Anna Sahayata
Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi inaugurated the ‘Depot Darpan’ portal, along with two digital platforms: ‘Anna Mitra’—a mobile app providing real-time operational data to Public Distribution System stakeholders, and ‘Anna Sahayata’—an advanced grievance redressal system aimed at enhancing transparency and responsiveness for PMGKAY beneficiaries.

The Department of Consumer Affairs commemorated World Metrology Day 2025, marking the 150th anniversary of the Metre Convention signed in Paris on May 20, 1875. The event highlighted the importance of measurement standards in global trade and daily life.
✈️ Indian Delegation Participates in 17th Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition
An Indian delegation led by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth attended the opening ceremony of the 17th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2025) in Malaysia. The five-day event was inaugurated by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim.
⚓ 8th Meeting of India–US Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation
The 8th meeting of the India–US Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation (JWGACTC) was held in India from May 13 to 16, 2025. The group, under the Defence Technology and Trade Initiative, discussed collaborative efforts in aircraft carrier technology.
The Indian Navy is set to induct a traditionally constructed ‘Ancient Stitched Ship’ during a ceremonial event on May 21, 2025, at Naval Base Karwar. Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will preside over the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
📚 Mizoram Achieves Full Functional Literacy
On May 20, 2025, Mizoram was officially declared a fully literate state by Chief Minister Shri Lalduhoma, making it the first state in India to achieve this milestone. The achievement was realized under the ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) initiative.
🤖 Himachal Pradesh Hosts ‘AI for Good Governance’ Workshop
The Himachal Pradesh Government, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and MeitY, conducted a state-level workshop titled “AI for Good Governance: Driving Transparency, Efficiency, and Impact” on May 20, 2025. The event aimed to sensitize over 100 senior officials on AI adoption in governance.

📊 All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers for April 2025
The year-on-year inflation rates based on the Consumer Price Index for Agricultural Labourers (CPI-AL) and Rural Labourers (CPI-RL) for April 2025 were recorded at 3.48% and 3.53%, respectively, showing a significant decrease from April 2024 figures.
🐝 KVIC Celebrates ‘World Bee Day 2025’ with ‘Sweet Revolution Utsav’
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) marked World Bee Day 2025 under the theme “Bee inspired by nature to nourish us all.” Under its Honey Mission, KVIC has distributed over 2 lakh bee boxes and colonies, leading to the production of more than 20,000 metric tonnes of honey and generating ₹325 crore in income for beekeepers. This initiative has significantly transformed the lives of farmers and rural communities.
